Warranty Installed Base Calculator

The WIB calculator on this page demonstrates the impact of different warranty durations on the warranty installed base. To view the calculator you need to have the Adobe Flash Player installed on your machine.

Instructions:

1. To change the value or the Starting WIB or any of the shipment units, double-click on the cell and enter the new value. Note, the values will be reset to the default once you refresh the webpage. To save your values on your local machine, click on <Your Scenarios> and <Save>.
2. To change the decay rate of the warranty installed base at period 0, move the slider "Decay Periods" to the desired value.
3. To change the warranty duration for the new shipment units, use the slider "Warranty Length"
4. The calculator includes 4 different shipment profiles. Click on the scenario buttons to switch between the profiles.
